Lafayette offer a unique After Sales and Settling In Service, designed to ease your move into the French system and way of life. It is available to everyone who has property in the South-West of France, (not only clients of Lafayette – although Lafayette clients do benefit from our initial Complimentary Settling in Service, as detailed below).
Our After Sales team have many years of experience working with international clients and we offer a combination of a friendly but professional approach. Clients benefit from our well established network of support services, together with tailor made packages to match your individual needs.
We also offer a Seller’s Service (see below for more information) – to help you highlight your home’s best features and stand out from the competition.

Complimentary settling in service
We offer this special advisory service to all clients who have recently purchased a property with Lafayette, enabling clients to settle into their new home as smoothly as possible:
- A Personal Consultation with an experienced member of our After Sales Team who can provide help and advice on a wide range of useful subjects.
- Helpful information on a range of subjects such as education, local taxes, pets, health, etc.
- Advice about connecting to the telephone system, opening bank accounts, direct debits with utility companies and internet access.
- Advice about changing over and setting up accounts for electricity, water etc.
- We can contact artisans, suppliers and architects to provide quotes for renovation or repair work, swimming pools, a new kitchen or bathroom.
- Full information packs about the local facilities and services e.g. local schools, doctors, dentists, vets, mayor’s office and shops.
- Advice on how to gain an income from your property through rentals on a permanent or seasonal basis.
- If you would like further specialised assistance, you can buy one of our support packages.

- Obtaining insurance quotes for house, contents, cars, travel and health.
- Helping with queries regarding utility bills, such as increasing your power supply.
- Assistance with opening a local bank account.
- Getting you connected to the telephone system, utilities and internet.
- Assistance with enrolment of children into the local schools and colleges.
- Re-registering vehicles.

RENTING/WHILE YOU ARE AWAY

- Ordering and receiving deliveries of items, such as furniture, white goods and firewood to your property in your absence.
- Arranging for small repairs to be carried out.
- Recommending gite managers, cleaners, pool maintenance experts and gardeners to take care of your house, ready for your arrival.
TRANSLATION
Arranging for the translation of documents such as marriage certificates, degree certificates, etc.
OUR CHARGES
We offer 4 levels of support , from Bronze to Platinum Service and our charges are based on the time we estimate is involved to complete the client project. Please contact us by telephone or e-mail Pippa or Anita for more details.
Bronze Service: 7 hours
Silver Service: 15 hours
Gold Service: 25 hours
Platinum Service: 35 hours
(Please note that small projects can be dealt with on an hourly basis if required, and that travelling time will be calculated from the nearest Lafayette Office).
